OLDS- The Olds College Broncos (6-3-1) finished off their regular season in style on Sunday afternoon against the Lethbridge College Kodiaks (2-7-1), defeating the visitors 3-0 to finish the season with six wins.
Jamie Flett, Rachel Brodie, and Hanna Forbes all found the back of the net for the home squad while Auslin McDaniel Perrin backstopped the team to the shutout.
A few lovely passes set up Jamie Flett's 7th goal of the season. Jasmine Flett hit Rachel Brodie in stride past defenders on the right side of the net before Brodie sent another perfect pass cross-box to Flett who dove for the ball, knocking it in feet first at the 43rd minute.
Rachel Brodie scored her team leading 9th goal of the season early on in the second half. Picking up the ball and quickly working her way past defenders, Brodie took a shot from the left side on the breakaway to extend her team's lead to two.
Hanna Forbes would add another one late in the game as an insurance marker, ending the regular season on a high note for the Broncos.
The Broncos finished in third place in the southern standings, and are the proud host of the 2017 ACAC Women's Soccer Championship, taking place next weekend (October 27-29) on Normie Kwong Field.
