Olds College Broncos women’s hockey welcomes North Central Impact players to 2020 roster
Olds College Broncos women’s hockey head coach Chris Leeming has been busy over the winter months with recruitment as the program has seen key players graduate from Olds College, including team captain Kali Cummings and goaltending tandem Tori Eilers and Lexi Bruce. Leeming has been working hard to sign key players for this upcoming season to join the strong core of returning student-athletes and more releases on addition signings will be distributed in upcoming months. In this, the first release, we will introduce you to two Leduc, AB products and North Central Impact team mates who will be joining the women’s hockey team this fall.

Tessa Knisely: Right wing, 5' 7"
Hometown: Leduc, AB
2019/20 club: North Central Impact
Academic Program: Sports Management
2019-20 stats:
25 games played, five goals, ten assists, 15 points, 18 penalty minutes
Why did you choose Olds College: "I am excited to become a Bronco to take the next step in not only improving my hockey skills and taking my game to the next level!"
Head Coach Chris Leeming's analysis: "Tessa adds some versatility to our forward group as she is a physical presence with a strong playmaking ability due to her great vision. Her competitiveness and ability to play at both the offensive and defensive ends of the ice will be a welcomed addition to our lineup."
Reegan Broadbent: Right wing, 5' 3"
Hometown: Leduc, AB

Academic Program: Land & Water Resource Management - Environmental Stewardship and Rural Planning

26 games played, three goals, six assists, nine points, 16 penalty minutes (Regular Season)
Three games played, one goal, five assists, six points (Leading Playoffs before they were cancelled)

Why did you choose Olds College: " I am excited to have the opportunity to be a part of a new program with new traditions, systems, coaches, atmosphere, as well as have the chance to move on to the next chapter of my hockey career and play post secondary."
Head Coach Chris Leeming's analysis: "Reegan brings a dynamic skill set to our program next season as she has some offensive skills paired with a relentless competitive drive. Reegan also brings leadership experience both on and off the ice as she served as an assistant captain the past two seasons, and has volunteered with several female minor hockey teams in Leduc for a number of years."
