RDP Kings Take the Win 3-0
Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) Men’s Volleyball won 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-20) to the Olds College Broncos on November 19, 2021 at the Ralph Klein Centre.

Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) Men's Volleyball won 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-20) to the Olds College Broncos on November 19, 2021 at the Ralph Klein Centre.
The first set ends with a score of 25-22 for the RDP Kings. It was a scrappy yet graceful set especially for the Olds College Broncos. Broncos Matheus Franca had an incredible foot save but ultimately RDP was awarded the point. RDP held their own at the net this set, stopping multiple attacks from the Broncos.
Strong serving at the start of the second set put the RDP Kings ahead 5-3 and a time out was quickly called for the Broncos when the score hit 7-3 for the Kings. The Broncos saw some errors at the net allowing the Kings to pull ahead. Followed by the Kings with some serving errors to give the Broncos the opportunity to gain some traction. Broncos Matheus Franca had a fantastic kill but was followed up by a great kill from Kings Patrik Toze. With some intense rallies and kills and blocks from both teams the second set ended with a score of 25-20 for the Kings.
The Broncos number 9, Reed Grusing had a couple amazing kills and a serve this set. The RDP Kings defended the net strongly against Broncos Brazilian, Matheus Franca. There were two big blocks in a row with the Broncos playing strongly and to be awarded the point to make the score 17-16.With some more incredible rallies the third and final set ended with a score of 25-20 in favour of the RDP Kings.
The player of the game for the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings was number 5, Brett Lower and #5 the player of the game for the Olds College Broncos was number 15, Philip Sutherland.
