What People Say About Coach Carrick "When Reggie Carrick arrives at a school, the passion arrives!!! Working with Coach Carrick was a pleasure and a true learning experience! The words that best describe him are Tireless Competitor. He shares a true passion for the game of basketball and he possesses the intangibles to make programs better. Coach Carrick not only loves the game but he loves being an educator to his student-athletes. I am grateful for everything he has done for me and Olds College could not have made a better hire. He is an outstanding coach and I have no doubt he and Olds College are a terrific fit." Morra Gill, Assistant Women's Basketball Coach, Providence College - Big East (NCAA DI) "I have known Coach Carrick for several years, having coached against his teams in our conference. His teams were always very prepared, well coached, and very good. He runs a first-class program. I always hear about coaches who work hard and care about their players, but with Coach Carrick, I have seen this in action. Olds College has made a tremendous hire and will be at the top very soon." John Wethington, Head Women's Basketball Coach, Lindsey Wilson College (NAIA) "The hiring of Reggie Carrick is a home run. While watching him build the West Virgina Tech Women's program in to a winner, I was impressed at how he taught the game, as well as how he instilled a winning attitude in to a program that was traditionally down. He turned a very poor program, when he took it over, into a team that won a championship and advanced to the Nationals. I look for him to build the Olds College Broncos program into a first rate product very quickly." Bob Williams, Head Men's Basketball Coach, West Virginia Tech (NAIA) "I am just completing my second year with coach Carrick as my Associate Coach. In my 20 years of caoching college basketball, I have never met a better instructor of the fundamentals of the game. His ability to break concepts down and explain the 'why' of techniques is seconds to none. In addition he is a great motivator who makes basketball fun while inspiring athletes to work their hardest. Any developing player would be very fortunate to have the opportunity to be instructed by Coach Carrick." Donovan Martin, Head Women's Basketball Coach, SAIT "I have known Coach Carrick for over a decade and have always been impressed with the way that he develops players and teams that he puts on the floor. He is one of the few coaches in Canada with CCAA, CIS, NAIA and NCAA coaching experience, a testament to his incredible work ethic and dedication. Coach Carrick genuinely cares for his players, and pushes them to be the best they can be, both on and off the Court." David Munro, Adidas Best in the West Super Camp "I've know Reg for the last 12 years and from day one he has shown the ability to be successful in whatever athletics endeavor he chooses, be that coaching or administration. I know he'll do a good job and produce a winner, both in the classroom and on the court at Olds College. Brian DeAngelis, Director of Athletics, East Central University (NCAA DII) |
