The weekend of January 28-30, 2011 saw the Olds College Broncos Men's and Women's Curling teams in action in the ACAC Winter Regional tournament hosted by Olds. The women's team, consisting of Samantha Klaver, Jennifer Lansdall, Michelle Thurston and Megan Thomas came together as a team and showed significant improvement from the Fall Regional. The team came away with their first win of the Season and should be proud of their performance in Olds. The Men's team were sitting in fourth coming into the Winter Regional and were determined to hold their spot for Provincials. The team consisting of Kory Roberge, Adam Wutzke, Travis Paulgaard and Elliot Mansell have worked hard to gel as a team and that hard work and dedication allowed them to come away with some fantastic wins to move them into the third place position, qualifying them for the 2010-2011 ACAC Curling Provincials. The men will continue to work hard as they head to Provincials on March 4-6 in Vermilion. Great Curling teams!

Winter Regional Standings

The Olds College Broncos Curling Team were in action at their first ACAC event the weekend of December 3-5, 2010. The Men's and Women's team were at the Avonair Curling Club in the tournament hosted by NAIT. The Men's team consists of first years Kory Roberge, Travis Paulgaard and Veterans Elliott Mansell and Adam Wutzke who were both a part of the 2009-2010 Bronze Medal team. The Women's team consists of first years Megan Thomas, Samantha Klaver, Nicole Dowell and veteran Jennifer Lansdall. Both teams are coached by Gordon Cherry.

Fall Regional Results

The curlers will next be in action on their home turf at the ACAC tournament in Olds on January 28-30 2011.
